CONNOLS-AIR Model NKP diffuser is constructed of electro-galvanized steel with round inlet, a adjustable dual-purpose disc and a face panel designed to provide a horizontal radial air discharge that adheres tightly to the ceiling. This feature makes the diffuser suitable for use with variable air volume system. NKP diffusers are available in two nominal sizes, 600 x 600 and 1200 x 600 mm that maximize visual continuity throughout the building space served. VAV system with VAV box is able to save significant amount of energy due partly to the box’s ability to operate at high turndown ratio thereby saving on cooling and fan energy. However, the VAV box cannot do it alone. The VAV box provides the minimum airflow required to maintaining the desired room temperature, however, selection of the right type of diffuser is necessary to maintain proper air distribution leading to uniformity in room temperature and air velocity and, therefore, comfort. NKP diffuser is able to provide horizontal air throw without dumping for airflow down to 50 per cent of its design maximum airflow.

The diffuser is designed for installation on inverted tee bar, plaster, and metal ceiling. As a standard the diffuser is painted in powder coated baked white enamel RAL 9010. The diffuser may be used as matching return with or without plenum.

Each supply diffuser is supplied with a circular disc-balancing damper for minor throttling. The disc damper is easily adjusted without special tool from the room side. For severe balancing, a damper should be located upstream at the duct takeoff to avoid generated noise from disc dampening.

Engineered plenum may be supplied with the diffuser internally insulated with acoustical and naturally fire retardant foam for absorption of noise from upstream devices such as the VAV box and balancing damper. Each plenum is constructed of 0.5 mm thick hot-dipped pre-galvanized steel with optional inlet damper for airflow balancing. Upon request, the plenum may be externally insulated.

Description        :

Connols-Air Linear Slot Diffuser is mainly rated for supply but can be used as return unit or as combination unit as in the case with air-light fixtures. Our linear slot can be easily used with integrated ceiling system with appropriate installation accessory and special frame profile to match the ceiling design. Diffusers are available in 1 to 4 slots and in standard length of 1200 mm with end caps for plaster ceiling installation.  For installation on inverted ceiling Tee bar, the diffuser will be constructed of standard 1194 mm length to suit 1200 X 600 mm accessible ceiling system.  Standard length diffuser as such are available ex-stock in powder coated standard baked enamel RAL 9010.  However longer length up to a maximum of 2400 mm can be custom-made when required.  For length, longer than 2400 mm or continuous run linear slot diffuser, they may be formed by joining together 1800mm or 2400 mm diffusers with balance dimensions at each end.  Alignment pins and/or bracket may be supplied to ensure straight joints. In addition to straight length diffuser, customised curve shape diffuser with or without acoustic plenum may be available as shown.

Supply air diffuser is supplied with acoustic plenum that is internally lined with fire retardant acoustic foam for better indoor air and sound quality.  The acoustic plenum may be supplied with inlet butterfly damper (optional) so that fine airflow balancing with the damper may not increase the generated noise.  Acoustic plenum is constructed of galvanised steel of standard length 1200 nominal dimension with one inlet spigot of size 150, 200 or 250 mm diameter.  Longer acoustic plenum is available in length of 1800 and 2400 mm and may be provided with one or two inlet spigots depending on the air handling capacity of the linear slot diffuser.

Linear slot diffuser of similar number of slot may be used for matching return diffuser.  The blade of the diffuser is used for minor airflow balancing.  Acoustic plenum may be provided for better noise control.  

For installation of diffuser on plaster ceiling great care must be considered during design phase of the project to ensure proper installation can be achieved during construction.

CONNOLS-AIR linear air grilles and registers (grilles) are designed with a slim and streamlined look. For a pleasing and a modern appearance, they are most suitable when continuous grilles are designed to blend into the interior. The grilles are ideal for medium size space where horizontal throw of 6 to 10 m may be required. For small space, the grille may be supplied with integrated real adjustable blades to control throw and spread of airflow to all parts of the room.  The grille is ideal for high ceiling of 15 m where long vertical throw is required to reach the occupied zone.

Continuous length
Long length linear grille is supplied in separate pieces of 2400 mm lengths with the balance supplied in two equal lengths one on each end. Continuous run installed on false ceiling and wall with turn around corner is supplied with mitered joint.

Curve shape
Linear grilles may be supplied in curve shape (arc, circular, elliptical). The vertical curve grille for installation on sidewall may be concave or convex in shape subject to minimum radius of 1.5 m. Horizontal curve grilles are available for installation on the false ceiling subject to minimum radius of 1 m.

Installation
The grille is suitable for installation on sidewall to height of 5 m and on false ceiling to 15 meter.

Condensation resistant
Anti-condensation feature is built into the linear grille models with integrated plenum. Creating uniform airflow across the grille core and thermal insulation around the perimeter frame prevents condensation.

Connols-Air Model 30H Lourve is a true weatherproof louvre for outdoor air intake and exhaust ventilation applications. Standard louvre frame is constructed of heavy gauge extruded aluminium with face border of 38 mm and a depth of 100 mm. The blade also constructed of heavy gauge aluminium designed with a 30 degrees’ angle and spacing of 60 mm provide maximum free area. The lip at the rear of each blade prevent water flowing over it. The louvre with its blade design and spacing, and its frame depth minimize water penetration. As a standard, the louvre is powder coated in baked white enamel RAL 9010.  Opposed Blade damper is available for control of fresh air intake. Bird and insect screen available upon request. All dampers, bird and insect screens are available in mill finish.

Description        :

OLS bubble tight isolation damper is designed to pressure rating of 2.5, 3, 4.5 and 7.5 kPa with blade deflection criteria of 1/360 of blade dimension during pressure test. The damper is bubble tight with respect to internal and external leakages. Pressure loss is very low. For our dampers, the operator can be manual, electric or pneumatic actuator. Balancing damper may be provided with lever type or handwheel manual gear operator.

    Description        :

    OLS Tunnel Fire & Smoke ventilation damper is constructed of standard hot-dip pre-galvanised steel frame full welded at the corner.  The blade is constructed of double-skinned steel plates with stainless steel blade edge seals.  Stainless steel jamb seal is installed on the vertical frame to minimise leakage between blade and frame.  Damper design enables bi-directional flow.  Each blade is equipped with stainless steel stub shaft and pivot on two-parts bearing.  Interconnecting blade linkages are located outside the air stream and pivot on stainless steel pin.  Damper may be constructed of stainless steel blade and frame.  As a standard, on-off spring-return electric actuator or single acting pneumatic actuator is provided to each damper, number of actuator required depend on the torque required to meet pressure and flow requirement.  The actuator is fast acting and able to close or open the damper over 90o travel in 10 seconds.  Damper may be installed vertically or horizontally.
